Electrolysis is a hair removal process where a certified electrologist inserts a very fine probe into the hair bulb and transmits an electric current to it. This destroys the growth centre of the hair, and the hair is then removed with tweezers. This technique targets hairs one by one. The advantage of electrolysis? It can be performed on all parts of the body and for all types of hair. If your hair is blonde, white, or even a pale red, hair removal will need to be done by electrolysis as these colour hairs cannot be detecting with laser hair removal.

What are skin tags?

Skin tags are a small benign flesh-coloured or sometimes pigmented skin growths.
They can appear anywhere on the body, but are mainly found where the skin forms folds: eyelids, neck, armpits, groin, and under the breasts.

They are harmless and painless. While what causes them is unknown, they seem to be more frequent in overweight people, diabetics, pregnant women, and adults over 40. Skin tags do not pose health risks and treating them is purely cosmetic.

How to get rid of skin tags?

There are several methods to permanently remove skin tags. Electrolysis is a precise technique that allows the removal of skin tags in a single treatment, without surgery.

How does the treatment work?

We use thermocoagulation. This precise technique use ultra-fast high frequency electric currents to coagulate certain superficial skin imperfections to reduce their appearance or simply eliminate them completely. The treatment is fast, precise, and won’t leave a scar.

What is electrolysis?

It is a high-frequency treatment that reduces the appearance of blood vessels. Also used in permanent hair removal treatments, electrolysis has been a popular technique in aesthetic care for many years.

The electricity produced by the device, delivered through a probe, generates thermal energy that cauterizes blood capillaries and skin lesions.

Is electrolysis a painful treatment?

Clients may feel a slight temporary discomfort. A crust may appear and remain for a few days, but will fall off without leaving a scar. Generally, one session is sufficient to treat a skin tag.

Who can benefit from this treatment?

Anyone can use electrolysis to treat a skin tag. Please note, however, that we do not perform this treatment around the eyes, and that the skin tags must be detached from the skin like a nipple and not stuck to the skin like a mole, as this is a dermatological problem. Therefore, a consultation is necessary to determine if you are eligible for the treatment.
